Chocolate Architecture at the Cambridge Cultural Finance Conference

What does cultural finance taste like?

At the 2026 Cambridge Cultural Finance Conference, hosted at Cambridge Judge Business School, we explored that question through chocolate, architecture, and digital fabrication.

Rather than simply creating snacks for the event, we designed and 3D printed edible miniature models of the Judge Business School building itself — transforming an iconic space of discussion into something participants could quite literally hold, share, and taste.

Each chocolate model was produced as a commemorative gift for conference guests, offered during coffee breaks as both a conversation starter and a playful reflection on the conference themes: innovation, enterprise, creativity, and the future of cultural value.

In a conference centred on how culture can be funded without losing its meaning, the project asked a smaller but surprisingly resonant question:
what happens when architecture, technology, and hospitality intersect through edible design.

Using 3D chocolate printing, we translated a familiar institutional building into an edible object — somewhere between souvenir, sculpture, and dessert. The result was intentionally light-hearted, but also symbolic: a reminder that cultural engagement often begins with curiosity, tactility, and shared moments between people.

What began as a playful coffee-break snack quickly turned an ordinary conference pause into a more open moment of exchange, where disciplinary identities softened through conversation and shared curiosity.
